Code of Conduct

Our mission is to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests of all ages. To ensure that everyone enjoys their time at Moonfire Realms: Fantasy Faire & Gala, all visitors are required to comply with the following rules and policies.

Guest Behavior

Moonfire Realms will offer alcoholic beverages through approved vendors. Any guest who appears under the influence of illegal substances, or who exhibits belligerent or unsafe behavior will be escorted from the property without refund and may be turned over to the appropriate authorities.

Dress Guidelines

Proper, family-friendly attire is required at all times.

Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times
Clothing displaying rude, vulgar, hateful, or offensive language or imagery is not permitted
Costumes are welcome, but must remain appropriate for all ages
Clothing with excessive layering may be subject to inspection

Moonfire Realms reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any guest wearing attire deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the experience of others.

Smoking Policy

For the comfort of all guests, smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are permitted only in designated smoking areas, if available. Smoking is prohibited outside these designated zones.

Supervision of Minors

Guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a supervising guest 18 years or older at all times. Parents and guardians are responsible for the behavior and safety of minors in their care.

Lost Children

Parents and guardians are asked to remain with small children at all times.
If a child becomes separated from their group, please notify the nearest Moonfire Realms staff member immediately.

Moonfire Realms HQ / Guest Services Cabin will serve as the designated reunification point for lost guests.

Commercial Photography

As a condition of entering the property, guests grant the Moonfire Realms: Fantasy Faire & Gala permission to be photographed, filmed and video/audio recorded on premises without compensation for any reason. Commercial photography, videography, or audio recording of any kind is prohibited without prior written approval from Moonfire Realms management.

Alcohol Consumption

Alcoholic beverages purchased at Moonfire Realms must be consumed on-site only. Valid government-issued ID is required for all alcohol purchases. No alcohol will be served to guests under the age of 21.

Please drink responsibly.

Animals/Pets

Only service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted.

Service animals must remain leashed or harnessed at all times
Owners must maintain control of their service animal
All service animals must comply with North Carolina state laws and local regulations

All other animals and pets are prohibited. Animals may not be left unattended on sidewalks, parking areas, or surrounding property.

Inclement Weather

Moonfire Realms reserves the right to temporarily suspend or close activities due to severe weather, including lightning, heavy rain, or high winds.

No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.

Bag Checks & Security

All persons, bags, parcels, and personal items may be subject to inspection upon entry or within the event grounds.

No outside food or beverages (exceptions listed below)
Coolers are not permitted
Unattended items may be removed or handled at staff discretion.

We recommend leaving unnecessary items secured in your vehicle.

Restricted Items

The following items are not permitted at Moonfire Realms:

Functional firearms, knives, razor blades, or weapons of any kind
Functional or sharp prop weapons
Recreational devices such as drones, remote-controlled toys
Bicycles, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, or wheeled shoes
Glass containers (except small baby food jars)
Any item deemed unsafe or disruptive by staff

Costume Weapons

All non-functional, costume-only weapons must be peace-tied
Functional weapons are not allowed, except for approved performers or actors with prior authorization
Peace-tying assistance will be available at the entrance

Mobility Devices & Wagons

Approved mobility devices must have three or more wheels, remain stable when stopped, and operate at walking speed
Devices must not exceed 36 inches wide and 52 inches long
Wagons and strollers for children are permitted
Specialized wheeled props or devices are restricted to approved performers only

Acceptable Outside Refreshments

We offer a variety of food and beverages on-site. However, the following outside items are permitted:
Allowed
Medically necessary food or nutritional supplements
Food required for special dietary needs
Baby food and baby formula
Prohibited
Picnic meals
Food requiring heating or refrigeration
Alcoholic beverages
Coolers
Glass containers (except baby food jars)
All items remain subject to inspection.

Restricted / Backstage Areas

Designated restricted and backstage areas are off-limits to the public. Guests entering restricted areas without authorization will be removed from the event without refund.

First Aid

A First Aid Station will be available on-site.
Please contact any staff member if assistance is needed.

Lost & Found

Moonfire Realms is not responsible for lost or stolen items, but we will make every effort to assist guests.

Lost & Found is located at the Moonfire Realms HQ / Guest Services Cabin.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are not allowed:

Selling or displaying goods or services without approval
Distributing printed or recorded materials
Impersonating staff or official characters
Unauthorized performances, demonstrations, or gatherings
Commercial photography without written consent
Any activity that interferes with event operations or guest safety

Law Compliance

Guests must comply with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as all posted rules and staff instructions while on the property.

Company Rights

Moonfire Realms reserves the right to:

Photograph or record guests for any lawful purpose
Deny admission or remove guests without refund if necessary
Modify rules and policies at any time without prior notice
